At Omibay, we understand that plans can change. This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the rules for cancelling a booking and any applicable fees or refunds. Cancellation rules differ based on the type of booking (Instant or Scheduled) and are designed to fairly compensate our verified Professionals for their time and travel.

Important:

  • Cancellation rules and any applicable fees are clearly displayed at the time of booking and in your booking confirmation.
  • You can cancel a booking directly through the App (in the "My Bookings" section).
  • All cancellations are subject to this Policy.

1. Types of Bookings

  • Instant Booking: On-demand services where a Professional is assigned immediately or within a short timeframe for immediate/start-as-soon-as-possible service.
  • Scheduled Booking: Services booked for a specific future date and time slot.

2. Cancellation Rules and Fees

A. Instant Bookings

  • You have a 5-minute free cancellation window from the moment the booking is confirmed.
  • If you cancel within 5 minutes of booking confirmation then you will get full refund (no charges applied).
  • If you cancel after 5 minutes then a visiting fee (mentioned in the app) will be charged. This fee covers the Professional's potential travel or preparation time. The remaining amount (if any) will be refunded.
  • If the Professional has not yet accepted or started towards the job, the Visiting Fee may be waived at Omibay's discretion.

B. Scheduled Bookings

  • Free cancellation is allowed up to 2 hours before the scheduled start time.
  • Example: If your booking is scheduled for 10:00 AM, the last time for free cancellation is 8:00 AM on the same day.
  • If you cancel more than 2 hours before the scheduled start time then full refund (no charges applied) will credit to your account.
  • If you cancel within 2 hours of the scheduled start time then a Visiting Fee will be charged. The remaining amount (if any) will be refunded.
  • If cancellation occurs after the scheduled start time or if you are unavailable (no-show): Full service charges may apply with no refund.

3. Visiting Fee Details

The Visiting Fee amount varies by service type and location and is clearly shown at the time of booking.

4. Refund Process

  • Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
  • Payment gateway charges (if any) are non-refundable.
  • If the service was paid partially or fully in advance, refunds will be adjusted accordingly after deducting any applicable Visiting Fee.
  • Wallet credits or promotional discounts may be handled as per their specific terms.

5. Exceptions and Special Cases

  • Professional No-Show or Delay: If the Professional does not arrive or is significantly delayed (beyond acceptable limits), you may cancel without any fee and receive a full refund. Please report such issues immediately via the App.
  • Force Majeure: Cancellations due to unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, emergencies) may qualify for fee waivers at Omibay's discretion.
  • Service Issues: If the service cannot be completed due to Professional fault, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund.

Omibay reserves the right to review and decide on disputed cancellations on a case-by-case basis.

6. How to Cancel

  • Open the Omibay App → Go to "My Bookings" → Select the booking → Tap "Cancel Booking" → Confirm.
  • Cancellations outside the App (e.g., via phone) may not be accepted.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be notified in the App, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
